Psychometric Assessments
We are accredited and skilled in the application and interpretation of a wide range of psychometric tests, all validated in the South African context, with established reliability. We use assessments in many of our interventions. Assessments are conducted with the aim of assisting clients to choose the right career, assessing for learning disabilities, assisting institutions to select the right candidates for courses applied for.
Further we use psychometric assessments for recruitment and selection purposes, skills auditing as well as offering developmental evaluation of employees to facilitate succession planning. The assessment tools can be used for both technical and non-technical positions. Both psychometric tests and competency-based assessment methods can be utilized.
Skills Auditing
The main purpose for conducting a skills audit in an organisation is to identify the skills and knowledge that the organisation requires, as well as the skills and knowledge that the organisation currently has. Skills audits are also usually done to determine training needs so an organisation can improve its skills and knowledge. However skills audits are also completed for other reasons such as restructuring and deployment.
The outcome of the skills audit process is a skills gap analysis. This information will enable the organization to improve by providing the appropriate training and development to individuals to cater for the identified skill gaps. The skills audit process will also provide information which can be used for purposes such as internal employee selection and to ensure that the correct person is deployed in each position
Assessment Centres
Candidates do not need to prepare anything specific for the assessment centre. They are not being assessed on what they know but on how they think. They are being measured against certain predetermined criteria. They will be interviewed and asked to take part in a number of exercises, including a cognitive test. The exercises will be based on the type of work for which candidates have applied. The exercises, usually undertaken with a number of other candidates, will take the form of an in-tray, role play or case study exercise, and a presentation.
We strive to emphasize real, workable, sustainable and socially desirable solutions to clients. Furthermore, we will use our expertise in human behavioral science as well as psychology background to match the right candidate to the relevant position.
Retrenchment Counselling
Our services aims to provide affected employees with the necessary counselling, practical support and marketing tools, at a time when they are normally in a poor position to "sell" themselves back into new job situations. This involves providing emotional support and counselling, motivation, career direction, business management training as well as re-skilling and mentorship. We will design a structured programme that will assist vulnerable employees to identify viable career options to pursue, equipping them to effectively market themselves to prospective employers.

Career Counselling and Development
The Career Counselling Session is a one-on-one hour consultation which will enable the psychologist to get a better understanding of clients career development needs and how to guide them further. We discuss the clients studying and/or career concerns and help them gain insight into different study options and career paths. For Grade 9s, we discuss your subject choices for Grade 10 and help you to understand which subjects are important for future career paths.
360 Degree Assessments
360° questionnaire is based on a competency framework. This framework has an existing questionnaire, an online data collection methodology and various reports associated with it. Competencies can be customised to suit the client needs
The system allows you to invite participants by email to complete the online appraisal. Once the appraisals have been completed, the system collates the data and generates a detailed report. These reports compare responses from all raters, and are generated in an instant. These reports can be made anonymous so that raters cannot be identified.
